What can I do to help?
Foster Homes
Foster homes, both for long term and emergencies are always needed. All veterinary expenses are paid for by ARM, and some of the food costs. Volunteer as a Foster Home.
Transport
Transportation to and from the vet, groomer, or a new foster home.
Shelter Checks
Shelter checks are very important. Many area shelters do not routinely call rescue, but a periodic check of the shelter nearest you to see if any Aussies are there is invaluable. If so, notify your representative who can then arrange an evaluation, bail out, foster care, or whatever else may be necessary.
Training & Grooming
Training and grooming is very important in helping a dog be adopted. Many Aussies come into rescue with their coats in very poor shape and a few hours spent grooming the dog often works miracles on their appearance. A nicely groomed, well trained Aussie is much more likely to be adopted than one who isn’t.
